The only daughter of a successful litigator and much revered high school history teacher, Wendy and her four brothers grew up in Scarsdale, New York, in a home that embraced artistic and intellectual curiosity. From an early age, she quickly learned the magic of all things creative. the classical flute being her first passion. Throughout her childhood she lost herself in practice rooms, attending the prestigious Julliard Pre-college Division on Saturdays and Vermont’s Kinhaven Music Camp during summer months. Ever the ambitious academic student as well, at eighteen Wendy set off for Barnard College intending to obtain a degree in musical performance. Once there, however, fate intervened. To fill an English credit, Wendy landed in an intro to acting class where the great English director Peter Brook presented a demonstration of his epic Mahabharata. Drunk on such theatre magic, Wendy had found her grand passion and quickly switched her heart’s focus. She left Barnard with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Music, determined to become a professional actress.
